Teaching Expertise
- I believe in McKenna’s four paradigms of curriculum design and structure my teaching according to them. Particularly the interpretive and critical curriculum design. The Interpretive paradigm believes that context is very important when lecturing and one cannot take context and meaning making outside of learning. People learn better, when there is meaning. Critical paradigm, this one focuses on teaching the students to be critical thinkers and not just understand their work and concepts. I teach students to be able to apply their knowledge in ways that will transform society.
